After a quick chat, he recommended the perfect spot for an overnight stay—a secluded area by the river that offered both tranquility and access to the refreshing waters of Nestos. Chris provided detailed directions on how to reach this hidden paradise, and with that, my plan was set. Little did I know, this spontaneous decision would lead to one of the most memorable experiences of my trip.

Arriving at Galini River Beach

Just 12 kilometers outside Xanthi, I found myself surrounded by the serene beauty of the Nestos River. As I approached Galani River Beach, the lush green banks and the steep rock formations created a tranquil environment that felt far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. Morning Hike Along the Nestos River

The next morning, I woke up to the first rays of the sun filtering through the trees and the gentle sound of the river. After a quick breakfast, I set out on a hike along the Nestos River, eager to explore the area further.
